Workshop

Premeditated Business Networking

Because…success doesn’t just happen.

Can you tell a “professional visitor” from “someone who really wants to get business done?”

Have you ever met someone, had a brief discussion, then afterwards wondered . . .

  • · What was her/his name again?
  • · What did he/she say she did?
  • · Why would I care?
  • · Did he/she want something?

There are those that dive into a well-rehearsed elevator pitch....like a runaway train, full speed ahead without regard or understanding of where they are going.

Some people believe in the “throw enough crap at the wall something will stick” approach to selling. But when you are selling yourself, what you do or how you get it done, this method can just leave a real mess to clean up later.

Many business professionals look for business in an Apple Orchard when they should be in the Orange Grove. Would you know if you were in the right place?

When marketing your business to your peers, associates and potential clients they need to be excited to do business with you. Not just know what you do.

In this 3.5 – 4 hour workshop:

  • · You will learn how to market your business and build a team of strategic sales professionals that work together.
  • · Take a quick tour of where you are at now.
  • · Map out your business and strategic partners - creating clarity like never before.
  • · Create a concise marketing plan and set goals.
  • · Learn how to effectively work an event and capitalize on every opportunity.
  • · Many people think business networking is Facebook, LinkedIn or You Tube what role do they play in making connections?
  • · We will tie in Social Networking with Business Conventional Networking and how they work together.

We will learn how to capitalize on the 78% peer recommendation for your products and services.

After this workshop you will have a clear, concise understanding of how to market and communicate your business.

Because Knowledge Is Your Power,

Rita

Group lists who 'owns' Congress members
If you believe Congress members can be bought by the money that is donated to them by businesses and groups, then the National Association of Realtors owns California and Emily's List owns eight other states. MapLight, a nonpartisan research group that focuses on money and politics, released that information and a database showing the top five business and group donors to sitting members of Congress. The report was titled, "Who owns your members of Congress." Emily's List, a group that is dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic women to office, was listed as the No...

Twitter tidbit: Bay Citizen and CIR sign letter of intent to merge
"It's official," The Bay Citizen announced via Twitter at mid-afternoon. "#baycitizen and #cir center for investigative reporting sign letter of intent to merge. Details to come." For context -- some say it's too long to count as a blog post -- see my earlier post today about the Bay Citizen's saga and recent struggles and its hope that a merger with the smaller Center for Investigative Reporting in Berkeley can help it survive, albeit at the cost of its independence. Now for the official version of reality...

Bank of America, Wells and Chase pay homeowners to avoid foreclosures
In an apparent change of heart, banks are offering $20,000 or more to troubled homeowners to avoid costly foreclosures. Lenders are offering the incentives to spur a short sale, in which a home is sold for less than the mortgage, or a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure. Banks apparently have come to the realization that it’s best for them to cut their losses through these measures rather than pursue foreclosures that can be drawn out and leave a home vacant for months afterward, incurring carrying costs...

California Bank of Commerce CEO sees rising loan demand
California Bank of Commerce CEO John Rossell says his bank’s loan pipeline is the largest since the bank opened its doors in 2007. “Business clients are more confident, and they’re willing to invest in their companies,” Rossell told me after speaking at an Association for Corporate Growth breakfast panel of “boring” bankers that are thriving. Rossell’s bank (OTCBB: CABC) is doing well by focusing on closely held midsized businesses in the greater Bay Area. He wasn’t sharing numbers with me, but his words offer encouragement as storm clouds build over Europe...
